Where Hope Begins

Preparing for Fatherhood
With his baby on the way, a young father began thinking differently about his future and the example he wants to set. Through the EQUIP Men’s Program, he is learning responsibility, becoming more focused, and preparing to put his child’s needs before his own.

Finding Community
A woman arrived at 31 weeks pregnant, feeling alone and uncertain whether to parent or pursue adoption. She received resources, practical assistance, and reassurance, then chose to parent and joined Equip. Despite ongoing challenges, she is finding hope and community through the center’s staff and volunteers.

Care Through Loss
A woman came to the mobile unit feeling overwhelmed after losing her nursing job and learning she was unexpectedly pregnant. An ultrasound raised concerns about the pregnancy, and follow-up care at the emergency room confirmed a miscarriage. The medical information helped clarify what was happening during a painful experience.

A Call That Mattered
During a routine callback, a woman shared that she was six weeks pregnant and torn about taking an abortion pill she had obtained. Thankful for the call, she spoke with a nurse and scheduled an appointment. After receiving support from the medical team, she changed her mind about proceeding with abortion.
